Next Meeting December 5

The Kentuckians of Michigan have been featuring bluegrass music on Friday nights for many years, and we are excited that they have joined SMBMA and offered us a place to meet. This serves a dual purpose, since we are also supporting a venue which presents bluegrass to the public.

Kudos to Bobby (Hutch) and Pat Boggs and Burl Stevens who made these arrangements, and thanks to the Kentuckians of Michigan for becoming our second organizational member!

SMBMA will meet at 5:30 p.m. on December 5, 2014 at the Kentuckians of Michigan, 28391 Bredow Rd., Romulus, MI 48174.

  • Admission for the evening is discounted from $7 to $6 for SMBMA members. Bring your member card to take advantage of the discount.Meeting at 5:30 p.m. and jam to follow.
  • Dinner available from the Kentuckians Buffet.
  • Performance at 8 p.m. by New County Grass, as scheduled by the Kentuckians, with jamming to continue between stage shows.

The Paint Creek Boys

The Paint Creek Boys will be holding forth at the Rochester Hills Public Library, 500 Olde Towe Rd, Rochester, Michigan on November 9th from 2 to 3:30. The details are on our calendar. Free concert, you all get out and support bluegrass in Southeast Michigan!

Meeting

SMBMA is meeting on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at KC Campground, 14048 Sherman Road – Milan, MI 48160. Meeting at 5, potluck and jam following. Mark Gaynier is the chef, hot dogs and sloppy joes will be provided and a donation accepted to defray costs. Thanks, Mark!
